Drilldown

Phase one: the My team page in the manager portal The tree shows everyone below you. The Signals column flags pending invites, gaps and standouts. Filter tabs narrow the tree to the people who need action. The side panel opens on your own recognition activity; click anyone to see theirs. Managers also see who they haven't recognized in the period, and their direct reports. Close it with the X to get a full-width tree; "Your activity" brings it back. The board to the right is the earlier redesign concept, kept as tomorrow's state. Sample data only.
Narrower screens Below about 1100px the tree gets the full width and the panel stays closed. Tap a name and it opens as a drawer over the tree; tap outside it or the X to close. "Your activity" in the title bar opens your own. On phones the drawer takes the full screen, the reporting line shows as a breadcrumb, and signals sit next to each name.

Scope toggle

Scope toggle on manager portal reports Every report page gets the same choice, Direct reports or Full reporting line, fitted to that page. Pages with filter dropdowns (Top Employees, RES, Recognitions, Anniversaries) get a "Reporting line" dropdown first in their filters. Pages without them (Overview, Engagement, Challenges) get a labeled "Reporting line" switch beside or below the period controls. Everything else is today's page. The choice carries across pages and tabs: set it on the Dashboard, then click Top Employees, Engagement or RES, or use the left nav to open Recognitions (Pending, Approved, Denied), Challenges or Anniversaries. Scope follows the person each page already scopes by: the recipient, the submitter, the person with the anniversary. Team and role filters narrow within it. Export follows the scope. Phones (row at the bottom): filters stack full width with Reporting line still first, the switch spans the screen, and the info tip opens on tap. The portal nav becomes a scrolling strip under the header, a stand-in until we know how today's product handles it. Sample data only.

Scope options

Option 1 · With each page’s filters (what we shared) Pages with filter dropdowns get a Reporting line dropdown, first in the group. Overview, Engagement and Challenges get a labeled switch with the period controls. Fits each page as it is today; the spot changes page to page.
Option 2 · In the dark bar One switch, same spot on every page: the right end of the dark bar, after any page tabs. Challenges and Anniversaries gain a dark bar to hold it. Page bodies stay as they are today. On Engagement and on phones the switch drops to its own line in the bar.
Option 3 · Nominations table pattern Shown on Recognitions only. Reporting line leads the filter bar, then period, dates, sender, recipient, badge, search, sort and export in one row. Pending, Approved and Denied become status tabs with counts; rows become cards. This is a table rebuild, sized separately from the scope milestone. Pages without a table (Overview, RES) would still need Option 2’s bar.
